Welcome

This is the homepage for Brighton & Hove, South Downs Rotary Club.We are pleased to welcome friends old and new alike. The Club meets in the evening on the third MONDAY of each month at 7.30, for DINNER, at 7.45pm at The Hove Club, 28 Fourth Avenue, Hove, BN3 2BJ. On the first Monday of each month there is usually an "Out" informal meeting (mainly at a local pub). The formal Rotary dinner meetings are usually on the third Mondays but do check the Programme on this page below.

New and prospective members should know that Rotary is a worldwide organisation comprised of business and professional leaders "...who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world". Davids put their backs into it?!

The entertaining Dinner Evening with Guy Butters and Danny Cullip, ex-Albion legends, raised £1,400 for Albion in the Community (AITC). The cheque was presented by Rotarians Ray Eggleton, Peter Reeve and Charles Bedwin to AITC Executive Director Martin Perry at the Elite Performance Centre, Lancing. Also in the picture are Mike Haslam, Mike Denman, Guy Butters, Danny Cullip and Matt Dorn CEO of AITC.

Guy Butters brought along a shirt signed by Brighton's Premiership players which raised £150 for the AITC donation. The Seagulls programme for the Tottenham Hotspurs game in April (BHA 1- 1 Spurs) contained the AITC pages with our photo

CHRISTMAS CAROLS ROUNDS December 2017

Our annual charity collection around the streets of Brighton & Hove in the days before Christmas, with great help from Brighton Scouts (apologies to the faceless young scout in the foto with Father Christmas!), raised a marvellous amount of money, namely £6,000. This will be distributed to local charities during 2018.
Again many thanks to the generous folks of Brighton & Hove
